Alien

The
Alien (also known as the "Xenomorph") is the most
alien of the three races (no pun intended). For
a beginner, the Alien can be very confusing with its extremely
fast running speed and the ability to climb walls. To play
the Alien, you have to think like an animal. You have no long-range
weapons you can shoot from afar. All you have is your sexy,
yet deadly body and you have to use it to its full potential.
It takes a while to get the hang of the Alien, so you should
practice climbing on walls or ceilings for about an hour.
Once you've got the hang of it, the Alien can be very deadly.
One
of the disadvantages of playing the Alien is the lack of long-range
weapons. Your weapons - Claws, Secondary Jaws, Tail - are
all, unfortunately, short-ranged weapons. Even with your great
speed, getting to your opponent from a distance is hopeless.
Therefore, this is where hiding and advanced tactics such
as suprising come in.
All
in all, to play the Alien, it requires you to hide through
most of the game. Once you see your opponent(s), you quickly
sneak up behind 'em (you don't make any footsteps) and lash
out at 'em with your lightning-fast weapons!

Reason for
this config? Many... A:
You have a nice wide stance on the keyboard, so it's nice
and confortable. B: THe mouse is kinda a "Point and Click".
You point where you want to go, and you go there (unless
it's in the air, your not superman damn it).

I find that
having my crouch as my rightmost mouse button makes it easy
to do awesome evasive movements. I always run around with
the tail charged, using mouse 1, then release it as my initial
attack. Once up close, I use claw. This config works well
for me.
