Battle.net Guide - Joining and Creating Games

Alright so you've got the basics down, now you want to know how to join or create games on Battle.net. When you first log into the Battle.net with your unique username and password you're given the opportunity to create a new character or choose an existing character. If you're logging in for the first time you'll need to create a new character and choose his "Realm" which is just a name for the server you're on. As you see here, I have PD-TheMystic on the US East server :

Alright so we select PD-TheMystic and log into the Battle.net US East server by clicking OK. Now you'll be at the chat window and you'll have access to the create or join buttons. One thing to remember is your ability to choose channels, channels exist in order to give people a place with a common interest to meet up. If you'd like to hear about the games where people are selling gems or unique items stop on by the Buying and Selling channel. If you're looking to meet up with your fellow Necromancer buddies join the Necromancer Crypt channel. These channels can help you find a game that would more suit what you're looking for.
Now that you're in your channel of choice, you have to decide if you'd like to join a game in progress or create a game of your own. If you're looking to join a game in progress pay attention to the games running time and the levels of the players within, be sure not to join a game which is full of people way beyond or below your current level. Once you find a game which fits what you're looking for click Join and Battle.net will take care of the rest.

If you'd prefer to start a game with a fresh set of monsters, shrines, items and quests for you to find or complete simply create a new game. When creating a new game you need to make a few basic choices prior to launching as seen in the following screenshots :

Once your finished making your selections on level differences and people allowed hit Create Game and you'll be sent right into a fresh game. That's about it, now you can consider yourself a pro of joining and creating games!
