Starting a Game
Upon starting Diablo II, you will be given several options, from single player to multiplayer (Battle.Net and Other Multiplayer) to Credits. Multiplayer games over Battle.net are covered in a separate section.
Just a few easy steps will have you into a single player game in no time!
Selecting "Single Player" will bring you to the "Character Class Selection" screen, from which you will choose between existing characters and starting a brand new character. If you select an existing character, you will be taken directly into the game at your last saved point, in the Act's town and ready to venture out on your assigned quest.
Selecting "New Character" will present a scene with each of the five character classes gathered around a campfire. Clicking on a class will bring the character forward and give a very brief description of their specialty. Will you be a Necromancer, calling the dead to do your dirty work or will you choose the Barbarian and wade into the fray wielding two weapons?
Once you've made your selection, you'll be able to name your character and begin your quest to vanquish Diablo and his minion!
