Other Monsters
Most monsters are categorized by Act, class, and type as accessible on other pages, and here we house the outliers. These are the foes in Diablo III that either cannot be otherwise classified, are cloaked in rumor, aren't yet confirmed in existence or whereabouts, are removed from the game, appear only in lore, or are otherwise excluded from the standard and special monster listings. This listing includes both standard monster classes and special monsters. Standard monster classes account for the majority of foes faced in the game, and within each class are a variety of types depending on the area and difficulty level. For example, the Khazra Shaman class includes both Moon Clan Shaman and Blood Clan Shaman.

It's pretty much impossible (or to say the least, ridiculous) to have a Diablo game without Big Red himself.
The Lord of Terror looks a bit different in his third incarnation, with three firey heads on top of his massive demonic reptilian body. have the Three Prime Evils combined to form one super-duper-demon, or is this just a reimagining of his visage?
Diablo is known for his red lightning, fire nova, bone prison, cold touch, and more attacks from Diablo II and taking control of people's minds with his corrupting thoughts. |
| Mephisto |

Mephisto is is The Lord of Hatred and the oldest of the three Prime Evils, with Baal and Diablo in succession. He is famous for corrupting the regents of the Zakarum faith in Kurast, and was slain in order to progress on to The Chaos Sanctuary in the previous game.
It's still rather unclear whether or not Diablo's brothers Mephisto and Baal, The Lord of Destruction, will make it into the third game. They weren't in the original, and it's very well possible that they won't be in the third, but we like to think we'll get a chance to take them down once again. |
| Baal |

A classic monster from Diablo lore, Baal is The Lord of Destruction and the namesake for the Diablo II Expansion Set. He was vanquished in order to complete said expansion, but it's unclear to what extent he still exists, in spirit or physical form.

| Mistress of Pain |

Seen only in concept artwork thus far, the Mistress of Pain is a terrifying new superunique who by comparison makes Andariel look like a Bratz doll with talons. She also happened to win the grand prize in the costume contest at BlizzCon 2009.
It's not yet confirmed, but she is expected to be part of Act I. |
