Strategy guides are useful for any player, whether you have advanced skills or you are just a newbie. They act as sort of a large extension of the manual for games, but they are really much more than that, since they generally delve into almost every detail of the game that the manual doesn't already cover. Unless you have memorized every single part of a game, strategy guides will always provide some information that you didn't know before.
BradyGames has been producing strategy guides for console and computer games for over six years, and has a reputation for providing gamers with a nearly always accurate source of information, innovative tips, and very useful strategies and other information for any game. The author of the ("only") official Diablo II Strategy Guide is Bart Farkas.
When I first looked around the BradyGames Diablo II Strategy Guide, I was impressed at the organization of different topics surrounding Diablo II as well as the general size of the guide. It appeared that Mr. Farkas had delved into every small detail about the game, from the story, the magical shrines, all of the quests as well as other information about each town and Act, to almost every aspect of the five character classes from the game. The first look also showed strategies for multi-player gameplay and the mysteriously useful Horadric Cube. The large items and monster sections also caught my eye, as they appeared well-designed and full of details.
Browsing through the beginning parts of this "Tome of Diablo II Knowledge," I took a look at the opening credits, for the listing of the large team that helped make the Strategy Guide as good as it is. Not only were many members from the BradyGames staff involved in this project, but over 25 persons from Blizzard Entertainment and Blizzard North were part of it. After discovering this, I was sincerely sure of the quality of this guide.
