Hey guys and gals, Gheed here. I got massive response from my first column last week, so let's start right off with the stuff!
Dear Gheed,
I miss the Rogue Encampment, Lut Gholein and the surrounding country just
isn't my style. I'm hoping to get to Kurast soon, just after I beat Duriel.
Damnable monster, he left me crawling back to the town not just once but
four times! I spent all my money trying to get armor and weapons to defeat
him and I finally gave up and decided to just drink myself to death at the
tavern--at least it was a kinder death than at Duriel's hands.
Send money.

Jeez Akira, sounds like you had a tough one with Duriel and I'm sorry about your money, I know how it is to be rich! As to the tavern, I'd join you for a few brews if I wasn't so busy ripping...I mean selling people things in my fine establishment.

Why the hell do you sell your weapons so high when i gamble, you know what
they are when you sell them to me!!? I've wasted so much money buying your
crap, but i know you probably have a family to take care of and I understand.
Also, dont you ever change your clothes or sleep? I think im going to have
Cain help me before i gamble!

Well Bassles66, this seems to be a common question among adventurers that come to my store. Is it greed? I don't know. But that's why they call it gambling isn't it? Keep trying!
My next letter comes from someone asking about my old pal Charsi...Wonder what tricks she's up to lately?

care if you were lugged off to the Flayer Jungle and boiled by Fetishes!
But no, you have to use her to boost your own business... you're despicable!
And stop giving me those lousy +1 to light radius items when I gamble with
you, you lousy cheating........ *mutters some more*...

Well Quelreth, I'd have to say that Charsi is a little better sport than that old Deckard Cain. I'll have make an effort towards being more friendly, I guess. And about the rings? How would I ever make a thin goldpiece if I gave all you young ruffians good stuff all the time?

I'm just wondering if PlanetDiablo finds all of the
news on the site themselves, or if other people send
it in. I noticed that in the past few weeks, there is
never any credit to anyone at the bottom of the news.
It wouldn't be too nice if you didn't credit people,
would it? That's just an all-around not nice thing.

Well Commander, we have a rather large staff here at PlanetDiablo that takes care of the news stories, and we do give credit when deserved to people. We recieve lots of email each day telling us of new and exciting things in the world of Diablo, as well as our staff hunts down interesting stuff!

In early Act 3, my level 24 Barbarian, Ragnar was on his way to the Flayer
Dungeon, when in the village to the dungeon, me and my mercanarey(cold
enchanted) got jumped by Thorned Hulks, Winged Nightmares, all types of
fetishes pinned me up against the trees and killed my mercanery, and
eventually me! I couldn't play D2 for the rest of the night because I was so
overcomed with rage about what just happened.

I hate it when girls call themselves fat. I hate it when girls stereotype all guys because they are having problems with there boyfriend. I hate reducing under the radian in calculus class.

I've seen some REALLY nice stuff on the net. I thought it might be good too be true. Can armor really do close to 900 defense? Or a helm do 200? Are they hacked? Where do I find them? AHHH! Hopefully that isn't TOO much to ask. By the way, what are exceptional items?

Well, supposedly you can't get hacked stuff on the net unless you're playing open characters. Then it's pretty much open season for edited weapons, duped weapons etc. But, I'm assuming there's loot out there to make yourself very powerful, maybe even up to 900 defense. As to exceptional items, they're just normal junk you buy at the store without any magical properties that cost a little more, and do more damage/protect more than the average item.
And last, but not least this week we have a question many people have asked me about...
I have found the Black Tower Key, how can I use thus key and what is it???

Well, as reported earlier by PlanetDiablo, the Black Tower Key was originally in the Beta of Diablo II and was removed at a later time due to the fact the quest it was involved in changed. So the answer is, it's completely useless other than taking up space at this point. Keep it for a momento of your travels!
Hrm...Maybe I can include it in my gambles...
