My Adventures

Starting off, I switched on Players eight, got acquainted with everybody in town, and entered the Blood Moor. It did not take long before I kicked some butt and heard my favorite sound in the world of Diablo: The sound for leveling up!

Level one: Might.

I am planning to use this aura until I get Concentration at character level (clvl) eighteen. I put two points in Strength and three in Vitality. (You can't have enough life!) My first drop was a Scepter! Yeehaa!

Level two: Sacrifice.

Strictly used a prerequisite, but in the early game it does enough damage without being too much of a strain on your Health. I will continue adding two points in Strength and three in Vitality until clvl twelve. At that point, I will start adding to Dexterity. I will add no points into Energy!

Level three: Smite. This is a prerequisite for Holy Shield.

I completed the Den of Evil and saved my skill point.

Levels four and five: Saved the skill points.

I cleared out the Blood Moor. The "action" for the first few levels might seem pretty dull, but there really isn't much excitement in Act One. Next, I worked on clearing out the Cold Plains.

Level six: Holy Bolt (prerequisite for Holy Shield), Holy Fire and Thorns (prerequisites).

Level seven: Saved skill point.

Killing Blood Raven and clearing out Crypt and Mausoleum were the activities of this level. Blood Raven and her minions can be a bother if you use "Players 8", so handle with care. I collected my sidekick in the meantime and picked up another Scepter with "+2 to Minimum Damage". Then, I swapped it for my current one. Even at "Players 8" I can kill most monsters with two or three hits. Fallen take one hit.

Levels 8-11: Saved the skill points.

I headed for the Stony Field and decided to switch down to "Players 4" for Rakanishu, the first LEB (Lightning Enchanted Boss) in the game. Those bolts sting! Next, I went through the Underground Passage and got to the Dark Wood. After retrieving the Scroll, I returned to Akara to decipher it. Finally, I killed the Countess with no problems. She gave me my first rune, an El, of course.

I also picked up a few charms today:

  • Grand Charm: "+4 to Dexterity"
  • Grand Charm: "12% Faster Hit Recovery" (Hardcore characters need lots of this.)
  • Small Charm: "+1 to Dexterity"
  • Small Charm: "+8 to Life (Required: clvl fourteen.)

That was it for the day.
