Halloween
is coming. Are you ready?
If you're not, well then too bad. If you are, then have
a great time!
Next Week's Topic Will Be:
In light of a recent email submitted by one of our
fans, we'd like to honor his humor by setting a topic
closely related to his particular email: Write a
funny quest--relevant to Diablo--of your own that will
keep us laughing all day and all night! Send
us your stories
Now on to the feedback on last week's topic in which
we asked
what
you would like fixed with Patch 1.04 (Other than the
obvious).
Here's
what you guys had to say:

I would like them to include a
TCP/IP LAN server list. Similar to the one they have
in Starcraft for the LAN game option in Diablo 2. I
think It would be a nice addition and would be easily
implimented without causing much of a problem.
Sounds
dandy, though I'm not sure if the masters would consider
doing that in a patch.

The thing I'd like to see most
is a fix to the bug where, when you die as a Necro,
sometimes you will still be standing there. You are
still dead, but you can do nothing but go back to town.
Blizzard knows this is a bug, I just hope they fix it
with 1.04.
Also, your link to this feedback gose to a page that
says "Foolish mortal, the page you have requested was
not found. Please check the address for typos and try
again. If the problem persists, e-mail us. Click here
to return to PlanetDiablo." Just wanted to let you know.
Sometimes it's just lag, but Blizzard is promising a
whopper of a patch!
Dead link, eh? Never heard of that one...

1.04
I would suggest that they fix
hardware merchants so that the quality of armor and
weapons actually keeps up with the characters.
for example a barbarian or an amazon get loads of gold
but have absolutely no use of it.
I Normal level it ist OK but in Nightmare and Hell levels
you only get what you find. I do find a lot of good
stuff but only necromancers and paladins has the possiblity
of spending lots of gold on good staffs.
Especially i would like the gambling stuff to keep up
in quality.
.
Change the whole game in a patch...hmm, we aren't talking
about Counter-Strike now are we?

Subject: What
I'd like to see changed in 1.04
What
I would really like to see in 1.04 is some way to kick
unwanted players. I don't care if a host/moderator is
declared, or if there is a voting system, or how it
is implemented. I am just sick and tired of having to
leave the game that I created because some jerk shows
up and decides to start killing everyone. At present,
there is nothing you can do about such situations. You
can ask them to leave, but if they don't then there
is nothing you can do, except leave yourself. Not a
satisfactory solution.
It's been suggested before--and it's a great idea, but
we unfortunately don't know when and if it will make
its debut in the Diablo series.

Subject: What I would like see fixed with the 1.04 patch
and a confession
I would like to see them fix the
problem with the Paladin's Zeal skill. It was awesome
on normal but from nightmare on it becomes useless.
it gives you an attack rating boost but yet you miss
with it more than with a regular attack. And if you
miss with the first swing you just about always miss
every swing. And if a monster walks up after the first
swing you will always, always miss them, not that that
stops you from swinging 20 more times. I know he has
other useful skills(Fist of the Heavens not being one
of them)but it just totally makes a useful skill become
crap. I play with 2 other people over a lan and we have
reached the 40-50 lvl range and I dropped him in favor
of a barbarian. Not just because of this, my companions
requested that I do so, but it didn't make it any harder
to do so for sure. A little confession on my barbarian.
Quite frankly I only enjoy multiplayer games now, it's
more challenging and fun. Single player bores me after
completing the same quests over and over again. Neither
me or my companions would earn much experince with such
a lvl difference and I didn't want to yawn my way through
a single player game so I got a hacking program, I admit
it. I changed his lvl to 50(same as my paladin was)
and gave him all the attribute points and skill points
that a lvl 50 would have(and put points into prerequisite
skills I didn't want). Nothing more, nothing less. And
his equipment is also legit stuff I got in the game.
I don't play on Bnet with him, just lan, and yes they
know. I know I'm evil for using the hack but you couldn't
tell him apart from a non-hacked character and the joy
of not having to work him up from a single player game
makes it all worth while.
