PlanetDiablo | Features | Mailbag | How's Battle.net?

Bleh

So, Thanksgiving is nearing--the one time in a year in which humans take pleasure in consuming a specific animal by ripping apart its entrails only to replace them with a horde of garlicky croutonic hybrids. Humans are silly.

Let's move on now, nothing to see here...

Next Week's Topic Will Be:

What do you think about Blizzard's decision to make available certain items on the Realms?

Also, what do you think about Blizzard's unannounced project? Barbie's Revenge?

Send in your thoughts!

Now onto feedback from last week's topic in which we asked you what's the Battle.Net status now in comparison to when Diablo II first came out? Some say factions have formed, while yet others say it has pretty much stayed the same. What do you think?

I would have to say that while battle.net has grown into my favorite place to play Diablo 2 now [vs. tcp/ip or lan games] it crashes a whole lot. There are some days were I can play for several hours with no problems, but for the most part I get timeouts, or people in my party do and it makes the game drag on. All in all though I do like battle.net, I just wish they'd fix the conctant server crashing. Its free for us though, so what can we do.

We can listen to Tom Jones.

concidering i have been there since the release, with characters lvl 85 amazon lvl 65 barb a lvl 46 pally and about 5 others characters i feel that the lag, lost connections server crashes failed to join my own game has gotten worse. i feel there bandwidth needs to double. they need either to split the realms or add news ones.

Dat's alotta mula!

Closed battlenet: Still sux.
Open battlenet: Playable, but sux because there are to many damn cheaters.
Single Play: Cool, but lonely.
TCPIP Play: Great when I'm with friends.

There's my take on things. One thing I will note, in open battlenet I've noticed an increased ability to detect cheaters or atleast I'm able to decern them more. It seams that when you have minions, and I especially noticed this with the necromancer, that they attack edited characters on my screen. Doesn't look like they affect them but they actually gravitate towards them and try to kill them even when I'm partied up with them. Every time this has happened I asked the person if he/she took elixers, or edited their characters and the answer was always yes. I find this to be quite interesting in my experiences. I'm running the 1.03 game. Hopefully it will remain in 1.04. :P Love to be able to tell the legits, from the no tallented wanna be players.

.
Sounds interesting. I'll have to check that out.

Battlenet

It has been my experience that battle net has improved to some degree, but as in a overall compassion, this improvement is very little. As with time, now I experience a different set of problems, when logging on to battlenet. Recently the error message I get is failed to join game, either when creating a game , or join a game..

I think many players would agree.
