Ah, my inaugural State of the Forums. Never thought I would be writing one of these. Anyhow...on with the show!

The word for this week has been 1.10 is out! (Okay, that was three words.) Unless you have been living under a rock, or just don't care, you have no doubt noticed that Diablo II: Lord of Destruction patch 1.10 has been released by our good friends at Blizzard. With many changes, item additions and countless other things addressed, there should be plenty to (hopefully) rekindle any flame that may have gone out for the game. Be sure to stop by the Patch 1.10 Discussion forum to see what other forum goers have found out about the new patch, or feel free to post your own findings/suggestions/gripes.

The Acolyte (the man/myth behind this site) is asking for your help in the form of screenies and/or impressions about the new patch. Visit this thread to contribute and help to keep PD as one of the top sites covering all things 1.10.

With the release of the patch, it brings with it an interesting question for SPers (Single Players)...will you in fact upgrade? Because there is no requirement as to what patch version you play when playing SP, you don't necessarily have to upgrade. Be sure to visit this topic started by Pandemonium and voice your opinion.

Tired of working and working to kill Diablo just to have someone else steal your loot? If so, be sure to check out these two threads started by JerryLee. The first thread is the discussion of the problem and where he gives his idea to fix said problem. The second thread is the actual sign up. Give your account and realm that you play on, and then check the list for others to join up with for some fair coop.

Last but not least, in non-1.10 forum news, be sure to check out the latest Debate topic. And be sure to keep an eye out for the next one. Also, feel free to PM (Private Message) Bishop with any suggestions for the next topic to debate.

Well the new 1.10 patch is out and everyone is scrambling to find new items. Many are finding out that this patch has made Hell difficulty… hellish! Not being able to leech off of the Hell level bosses makes it a lot harder. Sayings like "My 1.09 Super Sorceress died 6 times... From a Quill Rat!" are starting to become a lot more common.

A few interesting notes about the new patch is that there are no Treasure Class (TC) 90 items any longer. All 1.09 TC items like Griswold's Corona and the never seen Stormspire have been dropped down in TC. What does this mean for players...you don't have to run Pindleskin 10,000 times anymore to find those items that are impossible to find.

Another really good thing that I have read is that racks and chests have been increased in what they can possibly drop. As I understand it now the highest TC is now 87 and racks can drop TC 85 and chests TC84. This means that any item in the game could drop from a rack except:

• Arachnid Mesh (Spiderweb Sash) TC 87
• Azurewrath (Phaseblade) TC 87
• Tyrael's Might (Sacred Armor) TC 87
• Tomb Reaver (Cryptic Axe) TC 86
• Stormlash (Scourge) TC 86
• Crown of Ages (Corona) TC 86
• Mang Song's Lesson (Archon Staff) TC 86

So next time you see a rack or chest, don't hesitate to open it.
