Sissy & Eggbert Review:

Sissy: What an unfortunate two weeks in the movie department! Looks like the Wolfenstein community's video producers are taking a bit of a summer break. For this reason, we only have one movie to serve up today, and it's Nonix's My Surface. We had hoped to talk about sNt as well, but no matter what we did to get this movie rolling, it just kept crashing. However, no one else seems to be complaining about getting it to play, so if you're itching for some more Wolfenstein video footage, then check out Sheepshagger's sNT here.

Eggbert: Yeah, bleh bleh, whatever Sissy said. Let's get on with this, I have an appointment for a pedicure at noon.

Sissy: You're the only zombie I know who goes out for massages and pedicures. I think someone is working a bit too hard at getting in touch with their feminine side!

Eggbert: What can I say, I feel pretty!

Sissy: And on that note... Let's start with the intro. Very unusual, rather compelling, but at the same time, it made me a little dizzy... and not in a good way! The intro brings us in to a minute long circling view of a single soldat. I think I got the point after the first 20 seconds, but it was quite interesting regardless. If for no other reason, you'll want to keep watching just to see if it will end before your head spins off your neck.

Eggbert: I assume Nonix is a girl. That intro music was very girly. I felt like I was sitting down to watch Beaches or Pretty Woman. Quick, someone get me a tissue! I'm feeling all emotional now. Male PMS and all. You know males get PMS, right?

Sissy: Err so they say. Of course that has absolutely nothing to do with the movie... and no, I don't think Nonix is a girl, although his choice of intro music was a little bit on the "fluffy bunny" side, if you know what I mean. Alright then, on to the main course, the meat and potatoes of the movie! Heavy metal, ouch. Obviously an attempt to try to reclaim some manhood after that intro music.

Eggbert: I don't know about that, it's hard to grow back a set of balls once they fall off, trust me, I've tried!

Sissy: Graphics are decent. Lots of effects, normally I'd say perhaps too many. But in this case I think they complimented the action quite well up to a certain point (more on that soon). Effects combined with fast-paced action kept me watching the movie all the way through.

Eggbert: Knowing that it would end eventually was what kept me watching.

Sissy: Bah! So you didn't like it then?

Eggbert: It was "okay". A mediocre film with crap music. It was no Lord of the Rings, but people weren't puking in the cinema aisles like it was the Exorcist or something. I think the movie really ended for me around the 8th minute though. I have no idea why he included scenes from "some movie[?]" in the background towards the end. It made absolutely no sense to me, and it had nothing to do with Wolfenstein. There was no place for it, no reason for it. Big points off for that little stunt.

Sissy: Yes, I have a feeling the producer thought he was being rather creative there, but it flopped for me. I didn't get it either. What's the point of even including the Wolfenstein bits in that part of the video? Girls in bikinis or people fragging? The choice is obvious, I doubt anyone was watching the frags. I think you summed things up nicely Egghead... a mediocre film with crap music.

Eggbert: Bravo, we actually agree for once!
