Sissy: Welcome back Wolfenstein movie-goers! This week we take a look at Adrenaline 1080p by Adrenaline. The flicks weighs in at a whopping 500mb, but fortunately there is streaming video available. It also runs over 15 minutes in length, so lets hope the action is fast and furious and that the music doesn't make us want to jump in front of a bus!
Eggbert: If you jump in front of a bus can I eat your remains?
Sissy: Sure. This film takes place entirely on the map Minas Tirith, inspired by The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. If it all comes together, this could be a nice change of pace from the stock maps that we usually videos created on.
Eggbert: I'd eat a Hobbit.
Sissy: We know. The intro to the movie was quite enjoyable, done up in old fashioned reel style with music presumably from The Lord of the Rings. Nice start. The map is fairly large so much of the starting footage is mostly touring around with little in the frag department. Then the player behind the heavy arsenal runs into a load of players to mess up. The music continues to set the ambiance nicely, staying on track with the theme of the film and the map.
Eggbert: I'd eat a Hobbit.
Sissy: Yes. Graphics quality is pretty good for streaming video, as is the soundtrack quality. The movie is clearly meant to bring an epic feel to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and I would say that Adrenaline appears to be achieving it quite nicely. As mentioned previously, the video is very long, but since the map is so large there is always something relatively new to see. However, I still feel it went on a bit too long. I think I would have been quite content to see it end around the 8 minute mark.
Eggbert: I'd eat a Hobbit.
Sissy: Shutup already! As far as effects go, there really aren't that many. Lots of scene switching, sometimes with a little too much blank space in between. But outside of the intro and the ending of the movie, there really aren't a lot of effects to be found in this one.
Eggbert: I liked it but it was too long.
Sissy: Yes, I already mentioned that.
Eggbert: You're snippy today.
Sissy: You're an idiot today.
Eggbert: I thought I was an idiot every day?
Sissy: True enough. Now let's bottom line this one for the good people out there!
Eggbert: Bottom line, pretty good movie, epic quality due to the soundtrack and map, but ran too long for my tastes. And by the way, I would eat a Hobbit.
