Latest News Saturday June 17 What's up all, sorry about the slacking on the site, I am now gonna continue working on it. Exams can be a b**ch ya know. A new flash layout is in store so check back often and I will get the quest updated with the new layout. That is all for now. Tuesday April 25 People are really starting to get into the quest editor and a lot of new quests are showing up. Thanks to Fenzig for making what I consider to be the best quest yet (Chaos' Corner). Also, thanks to Fred for his Evil Keepers quest. Click Here I am currently working on a skins site where you can submit and download skins. Should be up and going pretty soon. Chat room bot down for maintenance The chatroom bot is currently down for improvements. Utopia and I were playing Chaos' Corner and managed to spend all our money, but I guess faith was with us. We decided to go our separate ways and make some money. I started a quest and Utopia decided to join a game on Kali. He joined and the person left the game. The WHOLE town was filled with 10,000 gold pieces. We picked it up and counted it........27.5 Million Gold Pieces. Anyways whoever did this we appreciate it. we believe his name was Dark Knight on Kali. If ya wanta see screenshots click here. Tuesday April 18 I have added some new quest on the Downloads Page....Go check them out. I haven't tried them yet so let me know if they dont work or have any problems. We have got a script going in the online chat that allows you to post your game for others to view. (Thanks to Pacman) Click here for more info. This is turning out to be a great place for meeting other people to play Darkstone with. Wednesday April 12 I've recently heard rumors of some new quests being spread around the net. If anyone knows anything about them contact me. Also a walkthrough to the Journey in Urma will be posted in the quest area soon..keep a lookout. I got a good response for the help. Congrats and thanks goes to Rayin D'Arc. Monday April 10 I have installed a new forum for the Darkstone Realm. Feel free to post anything you like. This forum should be very helpful for problems concerning Darkstone and general discussions. Check it out here! I have also set up a ladder and multiplayer service for Darkstone players. Delphine software has created a wonderful game with the exception of good nultiplayer service. This page should help that problem. CLICK HERE I need some help with the site. Annihilator Wednesday April 5 The site updates are about to be continued. Much thanks to Dustin Malik for creating the site and keeping it up. I (Annihilator) will now be webmastering the site. I have added a new forum. Should be a lot easier to use. All you have to do is register to use it. Start your post! A lot of things has happened in the Darkstone World since the last update to this page. I will try to get the page up-to-date as soon as possible. The quest editor has finally arrived. I'll be adding a section on the downloads page where you can download and send in user made quests. I will post the updated patches and new skins on the download page. The Quest Editor has finally arrived!....You can download it here or you can go to the downloads page and get it. A tutorial is available for the Quest Editor. I finished the complete tutorial and I have to say that it helped me learn nearly of aspect of the Quest Editor. Darkstone Realm will allow users to send in their quest and have them posted. So start sending the quests in. You can also goto the downloads page and get user quests , send in your quests, or get the officially released quests. I will also try to answer any questions that you have. CLICK HERE TO SEND IN A QUEST Skins are very popular in the Darkstone World. Skins allow you to customize your character for other people and yourself to see. Quite a few skins have already been created. I will post these skins on the downloads page. To use the skins, you must have your Darkstone updated to at least 1.04. You can also send your personal skins to Darkstone Realm and they will be posted for others to use. Delphine Software does an amazing job on the patches they release for Darkstone. The game gets better and better each time they release a patch. Thursday September 9 Hotgames has given there 2 cents on Darkstone. I guess the reviewer hates RPG's so I don't know why he is writing this review. He gave Darkstone 1 out of 5. Here is what he said. "There’s a reason many people grow out of their Dungeons And Dragons phase, you know - sooner or later the adolescent yearning to spend their entire weekends saving some ridiculously proportioned damsel from some nameless dragon wears off and people grow up. Darkstone holds firmly onto its tired RPG cliches like a child would a teddy bear, which is kind of cute and sad at the same time. In Darkstone you see the medieval world through the eyes of some hapless adventurer, whose job it is to spend half a year or so underground finding treasure, slaying evil creatures and gaining experience. Somebody has to do it, we guess." I say that's one hell of a review. I know you'll want to check this out. Click here. But there has two be one positive thing Hotgames awards to Darkstone. If you check on the left side on the review page you will see the Hotgames top 5 RPG's. And wouldn't you know it. Darkstone #1. I was surfing the web tonight and noticed Gamepower has pumped out a 3 page review on Darkstone. They seemed to really enjoy the game giving it a 3.5 out of 4. Along with the review comes a movie. (I don't know what the movie shows so can someone please e-mail me.) Here is a list of the pros and cons they gave Darkstone. PROs: Gorgeous 3-D environment; easy rotational and zoom controls to change your view; simple magic and combat techniques; it's got that elusive fun factor. CONs: Doesn't get difficult until after a few quests; easy to waste manna by using wrong controls. Hmm out of all the cons I would have never guessed you would waste manna by using the wrong controls but hey I never wrote the review. Go check it out here.
